Our stay at Residencial Avenida was delightful! The location was perfect, just a short walk from the city center and close to the bus station. The host, Antonio, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area, providing us with excellent recommendations for restaurants and sights to visit. The hostel itself had a cozy atmosphere and comfortable rooms. Despite the lack of AC, the room temperature was manageable due to good wall insulation. we had a great experience and would highly recommend Residencial Avenida.

The room was absolutely gorgeous with a recent renovation and the shower had the best temperature control I’ve ever experienced in Portugal. The interaction with the owner was the highlight of our stay. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and gave us great recommendations.
The breakfast for €3 was a bit disappointing, consisting only of bread and coffee/tea. The room itself was fairly small for two people and the shower was a bit inconvenient, needing to be hand-held.

As those taking off early, we appreciated the friendly and genuinely interested host, Antonio. the rooms were clean and comfortable, with accommodations for our baby and toddler. the hostel had a beautiful ambiance and character, making it a welcoming home away from home. Antonio's excellent language skills and knowledge of the town made for an informative and enjoyable stay.
Felt at home here, no complaints whatsoever.

The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. He gave us great recommendations for places to visit and eat, which really enhanced our city trip. the location of the hostel was also convenient, just outside of downtown with plenty of parking available. the fact that there was a shared kitchen was a bonus, as it allowed us to prepare meals when we didn't feel like eating out.
One minor issue was that the shower in our room didn't have a support to hold it up, making it a bit tricky to wash long hair. the traffic noise from the main road was noticeable in the twin bedrooms, even with the windows and shutters closed.

the shared kitchen was very useful and the breakfast, although not spectacular, was worth the 3 euros. the owner, António, was incredibly welcoming and helpful, going out of his way to make sure we were happy. the location was perfect, with easy access to the old center of town and the train and bus station just around the corner. a wonderful stay!
Nothing for me 😊.

I had a wonderful stay at Residencial Avenida. The room was spacious, clean, and had a delightful skylight that I could open. The owner, an awesome guy, went above and beyond by joining me for lunch while my room was being cleaned. The location was fantastic, as it was close to the bus station and only a short 10-15 minute walk to the center of the old town. Additionally, the owner shared some interesting facts about the city's history. I also appreciated the free parking nearby.
There was nothing I didn't like. 😊
